COVID-19 is a period of internal dialogs, of self contemplation for me – as much as all of you.

The revelations of this period are not new for us. Five years ago we have founded Joint Idea as a laboratory program to transform our individual lives and create realities of being that our hearts have been yearning for. We look at life as an experimental journey and a path of continuous growth. Perceiving live as an ever evolving, growing, changing phenomenon is the cornerstone of every business / collaboration we do. This journey that we have embarked upon, to change the systems that no longer serve us as humanity, is today on the agenda of all institutions and individuals.

We grew up accepting these systems, yes! But does it have continue this way? The industrial revolution that shaped humanity as machines feeding a system is transforming again today. And whether we like it or not, that transformation has to start with individuals operating within institutions. We are at the point of re-evaluating our patterns, prejudices and fears that has been passed down from our ancestors, generation after generation. Today, we are shifting sanctions that we have accept without questioning and redesigning the course of our humanity again. How our humanity shapes from now is our collective responsibility!

Greta Thunberg and representatives of her generation have been voicing their concern for the course of our planet and our existence as humanity. And today, we all are face to face with the consequences of the ignorant decisions of the previous generations, including ours. We are responsible for the reality we are living today.

Our life patterns, our perception of work and life, the sacrifices we have given to adapt to our tribes, our belief of the un-transformable hierarchical structures, and that change can only happen from top to bottom have brought us to this day.

Today we are facing the consequences of our decisions – of our ignorance and acceptance. We are living in a world of fear based language imposed by governments and supported by the mass media. Our lives and consumption habits are being shaped by a number of technological institutions. Trust is expressed in selfish relationships. Our planet’s resources are being consumed day by day to support endless economic growth.

And, it would be a waste of our breath if the rebellion voices of today will not take shape to transform the future of our humanity. If we can not transform the old, outdated, discriminatory mentality that does not serve us anymore as humanity, we will end up facing much more painful and dystopic scenarios pretty soon.

As Joint Idea and our social tribe Love Mafia, we do not accept this outcome. We have never thought that this name, which we have chosen to define our tribe 4 years ago, would take such a strong stance today. We are a community of practice holding love as our compass. We regard ourselves as a global citizens operating beyond borders and we regard our education platform , Life Works Labs, as a laboratory program which aims to awaken exponential humanity and affect the course of our collective future. There is no defined, single path that awaits us. Our possible future realities fluctuates between utopia and dystopia, depending on which scenario we will choose to realize for our humanity.

Love always wins!

The more we shift our daily language to love language, the way we do business to collaboration, our life perception to an ever evolving journey, the faster we can transform.

With the awareness that we will not go back to the old definition of normal, we believe that the new normal will be a continuous journey of growth and transformation. And we are eager to do our part!
